Mikado Living is a small team that buys consumer products, uses them properly, and writes down what happened. No press samples we can't return, no sponsored verdicts.
How we test
We buy most of what we review with our own money. Where a brand lends us something, we say so on the page and send it back. Testing runs for long enough to matter — weeks for a gadget, months for anything with a motor or a mattress — and we log what we did so you can check our working.
So far that adds up to 0 products across ten categories, from stand mixers to dog toys.
How we make money
Some links on the site are affiliate links: if you buy through one, a retailer pays us a small commission at no cost to you. It never changes a verdict, and we link to the best option whether or not it earns us anything. We also point readers to our sister site, discountsmaniac.com, which keeps working coupons for the brands we cover.
